I don’t recall when I bought the incense burner, but I think it was in San Francisco. It’s a cheap one, made of wood, with inlaid brass making a flower pattern. It’s the kind where you put an incense stick in the bendy up bit at the end, and it sticks out above the burner to catch the incense. I only burn one type of incense, and that’s called Spiritual Guide. That’s because my sister used to burn it, so it’s obviously the best kind. Every time I light one, I say hi to Susan, who died back in 2002. She took her own life.
