About

Early Christian Sculptured Stone in Angus, St Peter's Church at Invergowrie. The church is now in a ruinous state but it's history goes back to the 7th century when St Boniface, a Celtic bishop, founded a church here. He apparently introduced the Roman style of Christianity to this part of Scotland, rather than the Celtic. There used to be two cross-slabs in the church, but they were removed for safety.
