A Lebes Gamikos (wedding vessel), a prenuptial gift, it has a small round foot and short cylindrical stem, the body is narrower at the base and broadens out the top. There is a small lid in the centre with a tall, waisted, central knob. There are also two upright, angular handles. The body is decorated in red on a black background and bears the figure of a woman in long robes and holding a bowl on one side and an a winged figure holding a mirror on the other side. There are flowers and foliage in between.
