As a spy, Rose Valland had to play the part for the Germans who were collecting art for Nazi officers and leaders. In doing so, she assisted in the packing of stolen art for personal collections. However, her assistance came with the price of impeccable note taking and tracking. The works of art that she had been surrounded with had been taken care of by Valland even after they had been sent away.
